AdBlue is a chemical reagent that is a solution of urea (32%) with a high degree of purification in demineralized water (67%).

The AdBlue reagent is used as an additional working fluid in diesel engines that have the Euro IV and Euro V standards, with the automotive SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system, which ensures clean exhaust. The SCR system itself includes a catalyst, an atomizer, a dispenser and a tank for storing AdBlue liquid.
Technologically, exhaust gases are cleaned by mixing ammonia with nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gases, and as a result of the chemical reaction, harmless nitrogen and water vapor are produced. It is the injection of AdBlue urea that ensures the Euro 4 - Euro 5 environmental standard.
